423 World Reading Day 2025–2026

Our annual World Reading Day was successfully held on 13^th April. We invited Mr Charles Cheung, an author, to lead a reading-sharing session that helped the students experience the power of words. The students also talked about their favourite book characters through role-play and enjoyed reading themed books in both Chinese and English, immersing themselves in the reading atmosphere. Let’s revisit the highlights of the day.

Inter-school Half-Hour Read-Aloud

Our students actively took part in the Education Bureau’s “Reading for All Week” by joining over a thousand teachers and students across Hong Kong for a half-hour read-aloud at the Kai Tak Sports Park Main Arena. Together we helped set the Guinness World Record for the “largest multimodal reading lesson,” witnessing the power of reading!

4.23 World Book Day 2024-2025

Reading can help us increase our knowledge. It can also help us “travel around” the world and experience life...

In response to "World Book Day” on 23^rd April and to encourage students to read more, the school held a Reading Day on 16^th April. The activities on that day included reading workshops, bookcrossing, book cover design competitions and book exhibitions.

Library-on-Wheels Project 2024-2025

Our school participated in the outreach project of the public library - "Library-on-Wheels" Project. During the storytelling time, the storytellers told stories to the young students. After reading, our parent volunteers introduced the simple handicrafts related to the stories to the students, to increase their interest in reading. They also played games to practise their hand-eye coordination, and entered the Library-on-Wheels to read and borrow books.

Everyone had a meaningful and happy day!
